"Girl Vs. Monster" Coming to Disney Channel on October 12 (@Kat_McNamara @olivia_holt @lukebenward @brendankjmeyer @kerrisdorsey)
The new DCOM that been buzzing on twitter since May of this year, called "Girl vs. Monster" finally have a release date which everyone been waiting for! The cast includes Olivia Holt (Disney XD's "Kickin' It!"), Kat McNamara ("New Year's Eve"), Brendan Meyer (Disney XD's "Mr. Young"), Kerris Dorsey (Disney Channel's "Shake It Up!"), and Luke Benward (Disney Channel's "Minutemen"). The movie is part of Disney Channel's Monstober in October. It follows Skylar Lewis (Olivia Holt), a fearless with a powerful singing voice, and ready for a Halloween bash with her friends. But before she can do that, her parents grounded her, andin her attempt to sneak out, she unleash a monster named Deimata who wants to change the fate of Skylar and her parents.
In the process of the whole thing, Skylar finds out on Halloween that she's a fifth generation monster hunter. Are you ready for "Girl Vs. Monster"? If not, check out Disney Channel's Girl Vs. Monster game where you plays as Skylar.
In addition to a fun movie, you’ll also get some new music with the film! Olivia Holt performs three of the movie’s pop rock songs, including “Had Me @Hello,” “Fearless,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me.” Luke Benward and Katherine McNamara also perform alternate versions of “Had Me @Hello” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Me,” respectively. All of the songs will be a part of the Walt Disney Records compilation, Make Your Mark: Ultimate Playlist, available Tuesday, October 9. The single “Had Me @Hello” will planet premiere on Radio Disney on Friday, September 21.
